We would like to officially announce the promotion and certification from Saiko Shihan Goshi Yamaguchi & IKGA Hombu Dojo (Japan) to Sensei Eugene the title & rank of Renshi-Shihan (5th Dan) at the recent 7th Karate-Do Goju-Kai ASIFIC Championship and Technical Seminar in Cebu, Philippines.
Shihan/Sensei Eugene has been learning the art of Goju-Ryu Karate-Do since the age of 9 and has contributed to the art both locally and internationally for up to 30 years. He has represented the country in various tournaments as a competitor and also as a coach/referee/representative for events. Since the mantle of leadership has been passed to him by our late founder Shihan David Chew, the club has grown and prosper to what it is today. The title Shihan means ''master'' and by now Shihan/Sensei Eugene has established himself as a competent expert in Goju-Ryu Karate-Do.
With this promotion, the club heads towards a higher level establishing a hierarchy of black belts and color ranks.
